"I am really happy that I chose Alden Nelson Debes Short-Term Rehabilitation Center for post-shoulder surgery. The staff here, including the nursing staff, aides, dietary staff and department heads, have all been so nice and accommodating. The staff knows us residents and call us by name when they see us, which is nice. We are all more like friends than patients. Employees always say to us, “Be sure to let us know if you need anything at all,” and they mean it – they often go out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible. We have therapy in the morning and afternoon, depending on our needs, which helps with recovery. And, the therapists are well-trained, knowledgeable and committed to helping us get better as soon as possible so we can return to our homes and families. I have made many friends in the short time I’ve been here. All of us short-term residents enjoy each other’s company and are never lonely, even on days our families cannot visit. I am truly glad I chose Alden."

"I was on the Orthopedic Floor at OSF Medical Center before coming to Alden Debes for rehabilitation. I was so happy when I got to Alden because it was so much more spacious – I was able to walk around and my visitors had places to sit and relax. The soup and salad bar, available at lunch and dinner, is fantastic. The staff at Alden Debes made me feel like a person who was valued, and not just another patient. I always looked forward to therapy as the therapists were great. A friend of mine recommended I come to Alden for my rehab and I am grateful.
